There are many reasons that companies fail.  Bad management is one of
them.  Clayton M. Christenson maintains good management is another!  
In fact, good management cannot succeed when faced with what he calls
“disruptive innovation.”  What’s a good manager to do?  Read the book
and find out.  

It's obvious that the author comes from the world of academia – Professor
of Business administration at Harvard.  The book is laid out like a teaching
aide.  Clayton gives a great overview in the introduction.  He then builds on
his premise chapter by chapter giving many intriguing real world examples
and oodles of supporting data.  The book finishes up with a case study, a
summary of the book, and finally, a group guide.  Talk about hammering it
home!  One can’t help but have a good understanding of disruptive
technology and how to deal with it after reading this book.  It is important
reading for any one in a management position.  Enjoy.
